Services During COVID

With all of the rapid changes to our daily norms, we want to reassure you we are here for you now and always.

Our team continues to be committed to your eye health care needs during this time of health crisis.  Whether you are running low on your prescription medicines, contact lenses, have an urgent eye issue, or even broken glasses - we won't let you down.

Prescription Medication

If you're not able to make it to an appointment in the next three months due to COVID-19 our doctors will make sure you have the medicines you need until you're able to come back.  We will extend prescription expiration dates on a case by case basis where health permits.  Call our office with your request and our doctors will promptly review your patient record and work on your prescription needs.

Contact Lenses

If you have less than a 3 month supply of contact lenses, we highly recommend that you place an order now.  We will ship them directly to you at no charge.  We will extend contact lens prescription expiration dates on a case by case basis where health permits. After your request, our doctors will review your patient record and communicate with you directly.

Please give us a call if you are nearing the end of your year supply of contact lenses and we can help facilitate a direct shipment of lenses to your home until we are clear to schedule routine visits once again.

We can also order replacements for any broken contact lenses. You should also consider a backup set of contact lenses if you are worried that you would be stuck without your contact lenses.

Urgent Eye Care

Please do not go to the emergency room or urgent care for eye emergencies at this time. We remain open for eye emergencies and other urgent eye care management. Essential eye emergencies examples are: eye trauma from blunt force or projectiles, foreign bodies, chemical burns to the eye and eyelids; eye pain, redness, or sensitivity to light; complete or partial vision loss, halos around lights, flashes and floaters, double vision, drooping of eyelids, among others.

Should you have an eye injury or emergency, please call us directly with your needs. We offer on-call emergency medical eye care services 24 hours a day and 7 days a week, simply call our office number and your situation will be addressed.  We care deeply for our patients and our community and will do all that we can to address your eye health care needs.

Broken Glasses

We understand that accidents happen, even when spending time at home with loved ones. We keep excellent records of glasses prescriptions whether ordered here or elsewhere. We are here for you if you need glasses repairs or perhaps an entirely new set of glasses.

You can reach us by phone, text, or email during our adjusted business hours of 8am to 2pm, Monday through Friday, at (717) 354-2020.  If you are calling after hours, feel free to leave a voicemail or remain on the line to be connected to our on call center.  You may also send us an email at oa@optometricassociates.net and we will respond within one business day.

Thank you for letting us care for you! Please stay healthy and safe.
