Dear Patient,
I am writing to inform you that I will be retiring from my practice after 23 wonderful years. The Eye Care Connection will be permanently closed. It has been both a pleasure and a privilege to be your eye doctor. Rachel and I will forever cherish the relationships we developed over the years with our patients. Circumstances that are out of our control have made this decision a necessity. The most difficult one is that my son has cancer. He needs us now to be there for him. He still has a hard road ahead. We greatly appreciate all the prayers and positivity that you have sent his way. Thank you for all of that.
I have arranged for my records to be purchased and managed by Dr. Jonathan Andrews of Optometric Associates, located at 117 West Main Street, New Holland, Pa 17557. Starting December ?, 2023, Dr. Andrews and his dedicated staff will be servicing all of our current patients. Dr. Andrews has been an integral part of the Lancaster Community all his life, and joined his father in practice in 2014. His practice includes his wife, Dr. Kathryn Andrews, a pediatric eye specialist, and his colleague, Dr. Jared Freedman, a cornea and contact lens specialist. Their practitioners are talented, well-educated, and have a strong interest in providing the special eye care you have been accustomed to receiving. The doctors are all very pleasant with a warm bedside manner, and I believe you will be in a good hands.
Your medical records will be on file at his office, and his practice accepts most major medical insurances. While his office is considered “out of network” for all vision insurances, his providers can still participate with those plans as an out-of-network provider. I am confident that his office will be able to handle all your eye care needs.
